Tucked away on a quiet residential street in Dong Hong Dong is a new sushi restaurant. Osoi means slow food and this food is definitely best enjoyed savored. The owner spent many years in Japan and knows a thing or two about japanese cuisine. The meal felt wonderfully curated. Osoi spares no detail, everything was picked for authenticity. Even the pickled ginger was different from your typical pink affair. The fried tofu makes for a good appetizer. The sauce is savory, sweet and well balanced with dried garlic. The Nagasaki Jjambbong was rich and peppery with a wonderful mix of seafood and vegetables. This is a far cry from the popular Chinese Jjambbong in Korea. this sushi plate boasts an impressive assortment of fish, all of which were fresh and unique. This plate is actually one of the simpler ones. You should see the large sushi dish. We only scratched the surface of Osoi's varied Menu, but everything I ate was enjoyed to the fullest. Not pictured was the house sake (7000w), which I found more than enough for one person. All together, for two people, we paid 50,000 for 12pcs of sushi, fried tofu, Jjambbong, a large Asahi, and the house sake. We barely finnished the Jjambbong. The portions were good. Overall Osoi provides a fine Japanese dinning experience at a reasonable price. Its a wonderful place to go for special occassions or for a slowly savored night of food and drink.
